NEW LEADERSHIP, NEW MEMBERSHIP: CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL JOINS IFBSO AHEAD OF 2026 EDITION
One of Europe's most prestigious in-water boat shows joins the global community of boat show organisers
Cannes, France – April 28 2026 – The International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) is delighted to welcome the Cannes Yachting Festival as its newest member, bringing one of the world's most iconic in-water boat shows into the IFBSO community.
Held each September across the Vieux Port and Port Canto in Cannes, the Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe's leading in-water boat show and the world's number one show for large sailing boats. The festival attracts more than 56,600 professional and enthusiast visitors, 680 exhibitors, and over 710 boats and yachts ranging from 5 to 55 metres — making it one of the most significant events in the global marine calendar.
The show's membership comes at a particularly exciting moment. The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, scheduled for 8–13 September, will be the first edition under the leadership of Show Director Constance Brément — marking a new chapter for a show already firmly established at the pinnacle of the European boat show circuit.
“Joining IFBSO ahead of the 2026 edition — my first as Show Director of the Cannes Yachting Festival — has special significance. This membership strengthens our international outlook and gives us a valuable opportunity to connect with leading boat show organisers worldwide, share best practices, and continue evolving the Festival for the benefit of our exhibitors, partners and visitors.” — Constance Brément, Show Director, Cannes Yachting Festival
IFBSO brings together boat show organisers from across the world to share knowledge, benchmark performance, and collaborate on the challenges and opportunities facing marine events. Through its working groups, annual Congress, and the Boat Show Barometer research programme, IFBSO provides members with peer insight and practical tools that no show can develop alone.
“Cannes Yachting Festival is one of the great names in our industry, and we're delighted to welcome them into the IFBSO community. We look forward to the exchange that comes with that. Our congratulations too to Constance Brément, who steps up as Show Director for 2026 — we wish her a brilliant first edition. “ — Veda Pretorius, Executive Director, IFBSO
The Cannes Yachting Festival is organised by RX (Reed Exhibitions), a global events leader with a strong commitment to inclusion and sustainability across its portfolio — values that align closely with the work being advanced through IFBSO's Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion working groups.
