Marketing and Sales Working Group

1. Purpose
The Sales and Marketing Working Group (SMWG) is established to develop and implement strategies that enhance sales and marketing efforts, promote the exhibitions’ & federation's events and initiatives, and support the commercial success of IFBSO members. The SMWG will focus on innovative approaches to drive attendance, exhibitor participation, and overall visibility of IFBSO events globally.
2. Objectives
- Increase Sales: Develop and implement strategies to boost exhibitor and sponsor sales for IFBSO events.
- Enhance Marketing: Create comprehensive marketing plans to promote IFBSO events, programs, and initiatives.
- Support Members: Provide sales and marketing resources, tools, and best practices to support members in their local and international efforts.
- Promote Collaboration: Foster collaboration among members to share insights and strategies for effective sales and marketing.
- Measure Success: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing activities and make data-driven improvements.
3. Scope of Work
- Sales Strategy: Develop strategies to attract and retain exhibitors and sponsors, including pricing models, packages, and value propositions.
- Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute marketing campaigns to increase awareness and attendance at IFBSO events.
- Content Creation: Produce engaging marketing materials, including brochures, videos, social media content, and advertisements.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in sales and marketing efforts.
- Partnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships with key industry stakeholders to enhance marketing reach and impact.
- Training and Support: Provide training and resources for IFBSO members to improve their sales and marketing capabilities.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of sales and marketing initiatives.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
- Chairperson: Lead meetings, coordinate activities, liaise with the IFBSO ExCom, and ensure the group meets its objectives.
- Vice-Chairperson: Support the Chairperson and take on responsibilities as needed.
- Members: Actively participate in meetings, contribute to discussions and initiatives, and implement agreed-upon tasks in their respective organizations.
5. Reporting
- The SMWG will report to the IFBSO Ex Com on a quarterly basis, providing updates on progress, challenges, and any recommendations for approval.
6. Evaluation
The SMWG will conduct an annual review of its activities and achievements.
