1. Purpose
The IT and Technology Working Group (ITWG) of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) is established to enhance the federation's technological capabilities, support members in leveraging IT solutions, and drive innovation within the boating industry. The ITWG aims to improve the efficiency, security, and effectiveness of IFBSO's operations and events through the adoption and integration of advanced technologies.
2. Objectives
- Enhance Technological Capabilities: Develop and implement strategies to improve IFBSO’s members’ IT infrastructure and digital presence.
- Support Members: Provide resources, tools, and guidance to help IFBSO members adopt and optimize technology solutions.
- Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring and promoting new technologies and digital trends within the exhibition industry.
- Ensure Security: Enhance cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information and ensure the integrity of IT systems.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration among members on IT and technology-related topics.
3. Scope of Work
- IT Infrastructure: Assess and enhance IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network capabilities.
- Digital Transformation: Support members in their digital transformation journeys, including the adoption of cloud computing, big data, and IoT solutions.
- Cybersecurity: Develop and promote best practices for cybersecurity to protect data and systems from threats.
- Event Technology: Identify and implement technologies that enhance the attendee experience, improve event management, and streamline operations.
- Training and Support: Provide training and resources to IFBSO members on emerging technologies and IT best practices.
- Innovation: Explore and pilot new technologies that have the potential to transform the boating industry and boat show operations.
