Nice Boating Tomorrow: A New International Showcase for Sustainable Boating

From 19–22 March 2026, the city of Nice will host Nice Boating Tomorrow, a brand-new international event dedicated exclusively to sustainable boating – bringing together innovators, industry leaders, and boating enthusiasts who are shaping the future of life on the water.

A Boat Show for the Future

Nice Boating Tomorrow is designed as both a boat show and a knowledge hub, with two complementary elements: a four-day exhibition and a two-day international forum

Four-day exhibition (19–22 March) 

On land and afloat at Quai Amiral Infernet, right next to the new OcéaNice convention centre, visitors will discover:

• Innovative boats with low- or zero-emission propulsion

• New materials, equipment, and on-board technologies

• Solutions and services for more responsible boating

Around 8,000 m² of exhibition space on land and on the water will host:

• Shipyards and equipment manufacturers

• Start-ups and technology providers

• Naval architects and designers

• Marina managers and service companies

• Local authorities and tourism operators

Two-day international forum (19–20 March)

• Conferences, workshops, and round tables

• International speakers from industry, academia, and public authorities

• Discussions on regulation, innovation, new skills, and changing boater expectations

Responding to Environmental and Market Change

The event comes at a time when the nautical and maritime sectors are undergoing major change:

• Environmental regulations are evolving, with low-emission zones, bans on combustion engines in certain areas, and expanded marine protected areas.

• Boaters are increasingly aware of their impact and are actively looking for lower-carbon, eco-responsible ways to enjoy time on the water.

• Innovation is accelerating, from electric and hybrid propulsion to hydrogen, solar, wind, methanol, and other alternative energy sources.

• Boatbuilding is shifting towards bio-based materials, recycled resins, and more efficient hull designs, while schools and universities are introducing sustainability-focused programs.

Nice Boating Tomorrow aims to bring all these strands together in one place.

More than a traditional boat show, Nice Boating Tomorrow positions itself as a living “lab” of ideas, products, and best practices. It aims to:

• Support collaboration between recreational boating stakeholders and clean-tech innovators

• Give boaters and future enthusiasts the tools and knowledge to enjoy more responsible boating

• Promote media visibility for sustainable solutions and exemplary initiatives

• Help lay the foundations for a more sustainable, innovative and accessible boating ecosystem

By combining an on-water exhibition with a forward-looking forum, Nice Boating Tomorrow intends to become a key international meeting point for everyone committed to the future of sustainable boating.

The organisers

The Nice Côte d'Azur Tourist Office, the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis, and the city of Nice, with its President-Mayor Christian Estrosi, have entrusted the creation and organisation of NICE BOATING TOMORROW to Grand Pavois Organisation, an expert in organising nautical events. With over 50 years of experience in the nautical world, creator and organiser of Grand Pavois La Rochelle as well as international boat shows in China and Brazil, Grand Pavois Organisation aims to remain attentive to professionals, the nautical industry, and its new markets.
