IFBSO Congress 2026
Washington, D.C. | 24–28 May 2026
Hosted by NMMA
The IFBSO Congress is the annual must-attend gathering for boat show organisers—a focused, practical forum where our community shares what’s working, compares approaches across markets, and leaves with ideas you can apply immediately.
In 2026, we meet in Washington, D.C., a city at the centre of trade and policy discussion—and in a year where the wider industry is navigating real uncertainty.
Why you should attend
This Congress is built for show directors and senior teams who need clearer insight, stronger partnerships, and practical solutions.
- Solidarity in uncertainty
Trade and policy shifts are creating ripple effects across many markets—impacting supply chains, exhibitor planning, and international participation. Meeting in person gives show organisers a strategic advantage: shared intelligence, shared perspective, and a stronger collective voice.
- Real-world intelligence you can use
Hear how organisers in different regions are responding right now—how they’re protecting attendance, supporting exhibitors, and adapting plans without losing momentum.
- Direct access to decision-makers across the global industry
With ICOMIA’s full participation, you’ll be in the room with leaders from national Marine Industry Associations worldwide—strengthening relationships that can help unlock partnerships, programs, and market alignment.
- Actionable frameworks—built by organisers, for organisers
Our working group focus areas (including sustainability, marketing, technology, and diversity) are designed around practical outcomes. You’ll leave with tools, frameworks and examples you can take back to your team.
- Compare approaches across markets
Whether you manage a flagship show or a growing event, the value is in peer exchange: what works in mature markets, what’s shifting in emerging regions, and what’s transferable to your own conditions.
